Introduced in 1888 by Peter Henderson & Company, this heirloom variety is still a garden favorite today. The early, drought tolerant baby lima bean plant grows in bush form needing no poles for support. Inside the 3-4" outer flat, hard green pods are 3-4 creamy white beans with a buttery texture and delicate flavor. This dwarf bush plant grow like regular bush bean plants making for easy harvesting. Harvest when pods turn from dark green to a lighter green and feel firm to the touch. These great tasting beans are good for shelling, canning, freezing and drying.
